Children should not be left unattended to play after school ends.
Induction Arrangements
The parents of all pupils will be notified by the Local Education Authority whether their child has a place or not, usually by the half term break preceding the term that the child starts school.

Prior to your child starting school they will be invited into the school for several sessions. This enables your child to become familiar with the school, its staff and the routines. A meeting for parents will be arranged prior to the children starting school full time. We will inform parents of induction arrangements at the earliest possible convenience.

The children learn through play and through more formal activities and we aim to provide a happy, friendly and caring environment where this can take place.

Our policy statement for Special educational Needs is

-All individuals should have equal opportunities and be able to develop their full potential
-We will identify and tackle prejudices towards people with disabilities
-We will raise and discuss issues of disability and special needs within the school with both staff and pupils
-All children will have full access to a broad and balanced curriculum, including the National Curriculum, which is suited to their individual needs
-We aim to provide a service, which is genuinely responsive to the needs of parents and pupils
Parents will be informed of concerns about their child and will be involved throughout, because effective assessment and provision will be secured where their is the greatest amount of partnership between parents, children and the school.

All pupils may, at some time have difficulties, and staff should be aware of these transitory problems and provide for them accordingly. Having identifies children with particular needs, all staff will follow the school policy and procedure.
